Krista Skalde

Krista joined the Inovia Capital team in July 2021. Prior to Inovia, Krista lived in Abu Dhabi, working for one of the largest sovereign wealth funds, leading the Talent and HR charge for the fund’s VC, PE, Real Estate, Infrastructure and Hedge Funds businesses. Pre-Abu Dhabi, she lived and worked in Paris for a management consulting firm.

Krista’s career has spanned a wide variety of HR/Talent areas, including leadership development, organizational design, change management, and executive coaching She has led or contributed to projects in North America, Brazil, France, Germany, Spain, Japan, China and, most recently, the United Arab Emirates. She studied Political Science and holds a D.E.A. (Master’s equivalent) from the Universite de Paris, and a Bachelor’s degree from Laurentian University.

Kuno Tucker

Kuno Tucker is the Chief Compliance Officer at Manulife Wealth and an adjunct professor of corporate governance at York University, Toronto. He has served in various senior executive roles in his 29 years of experience in the financial industry and has lectured on topics ranging from strategy, corporate governance, FinTech, AI, compliance and AML. He has been a keen student of FinTech for several years and has recently deployed safe but effective uses of AI in the field.

 

Breann Kelly, LLB

Breann joined Ewing Morris & Co. Investment Partners in July 2018. Breann is responsible for operations, compliance and legal. Prior to her current role, Breann spent five years as Vice President, Legal & Compliance at BlackRock Canada, where she provided legal and regulatory support on a wide variety of matters. Breann began her career as a corporate lawyer at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP. Prior to receiving her LL.B from Dalhousie Law School in 2010, Breann studied Finance at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax. Breann currently serves on the investment committee for OCAD University.

 
 

Sandy Poklar

Sandy Poklar is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Firm Capital Corporation, EVP Finance for Firm Capital Mortgage Investment Corporation (FC : TSX), Chief Financial Officer and a Trustee for Firm Capital Property Trust (FCD.UN : TSX) and President & CEO of Firm Capital Apartment REIT (FCA.U/FCA.UN : TSXV). Sandy is also a Trustee and Chairman of the Audit Committee for True North Commercial REIT (TNT.UN : TSX). Prior to joining Firm Capital, Sandy was employed at Macquarie Capital and TD Securities where he was a Vice President in their Real Estate Investment Banking Groups. Sandy is a CPA, CA in Canada, a CPA(US) licensed in the State of Illinois and has his ICD.D designation.

Kash Malik

Kash Malik is Managing Director - Head Sales & Marketing & Investors Client Management for JPMorgan in Canada. Prior to his role with JPMorgan, Kash led Scotiabank’s relationships with pension funds, asset managers and hedge fund clients. He graduated from the Schulich School of Business at York University. Kash is a passionate sports-advocate and has been a supporter of Right To Play for the last ten years. More recently, Kash has lent his fundraising efforts to the Indigenous Programs Development Committee.

Alfred Chuang

Alfred is the Chief Financial Officer of Kensington. Alfred has led global teams in areas of investment and corporate finance, investment structuring and operations, and reporting and analytics for private equity, infrastructure, and private debt portfolios. His previous tenures include two Maple 8 Canadian pension plans and a Big 4 accounting firm. Prior to Kensington, he was the CFO of a social impact fund focused on the affordable housing sector. Alfred serves on several corporate and NPO boards.

Alfred is a Fellow with the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario, and holds designations as a CPA, Chartered Accountant, Chartered Business Valuator, Certified Public Accountant (Colorado), and a Certified Fraud Examiner.

 

Jay Vyas, CFA

Jay has been in the quantitative investing space for over three decades and is an investor in digital assets.

Previously he was Managing Director, Head of Research and Innovation, at CPP Investments, and has also worked at Vyas Capital Management, Barclays Global Investors, Martingale Asset Management, and BARRA​.

He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from UC Berkeley. He is a CFA Charterholder.
